Collaborative live performance is an exciting prospect, but when the pressure is on, how can you effectively communicate and work with a music partner? This workshop will focus on the answer to these questions and more. ALX-106 and Trovarsi have been collaborating live for many years with success, both together and with others. The pair have played together in venues around the country and are excited to play Velocity this weekend! They will share stories from their collaborative experience, expanding on what their first performance together was like, and give personal insight into what goes into preparing for a duo set.
This talk will focus on the following methods and ideas: Clocking techniques, Jam scenarios / techniques, Set preparation, Effective Listening / communication, Mixing, Creating builds and drops on the fly
